Key Ingredients

Base: Beeswax, shea butter, or coconut oil.  Herbs: Lavender (calming), Calendula (healing), Mint (cooling). Oils: Olive or jojoba for hydration.

Step 1: Herb Infusion

Dry your herbs. Infuse them in carrier oil for 2 weeks or heat gently for 1 hour. Strain and store the infused oil.

Step 2: Preparing the Balm Base

Melt beeswax and your infused oil in a double boiler. Ratio: 1 part beeswax to 4 parts oil.

Step 3: Adding Essential Oil

After removing from heat, add a few drops of essential oil. Example: Lavender for relaxation or Tea Tree for antibacterial benefits.

Step 4: Pour and Set

Pour the mixture into small tins or jars.  Let it cool and solidify for 24 hours.
